Today we took our class picture, but others missed it because they were late. We discussed Chapter 8, Exemplification: Writing with Examples. It consists of using examples to explain, convince, or amuse. The characteristics of good examples are specific, vivid, and conservaive. Lastly, listing and clustering are techniques for finding examples. We did an exercise about finding patterns in photo and discussing the paragraph "Dropping Way out". Time to prepare for our Test #2!
