"School is cool"
Does anyone remember hearing that when they were in middle school? Well, apparently it is true considering what we just read in class. This is because we read how a high school drop out got her dreams crushed when she was refused from her dream job, was forced to wake up earlier, do the worst jobs possible at a gas station, have a lot of her hard earned money go to a taxi instead of her own possible car, and just not having the awesome experience that she thought she would have. Luckily, for us, we are in college, and will hopefully get the job we want, but Beth did not get what she wanted. She wanted independence in terms of doing whatever whenever she wanted to do it with no one to answer to, but she found out different. Independence is about being responsible, and ready to work for what we want, and includes answering to our boss. So, stay in school, work hard, and be thankful for your weekends.

AMEN!
ReplyDeleteSchool is definitely cool. I love school. I love school because it is cool. If you do not go to school, then you are not cool!
ReplyDeleteFor the sake of argument, school is not only cool, it is also cruel. To prove my point, there are twenty- four hours in a day. A full time student would take from four to five classes. According to Dr. Rivera, we must take three to four hours a day per lesson. So let's do the math:
ReplyDeletefour classes times four hours equals sixteen hours to study for, plus five hours and twenty minutes for each class, plus sleep time, which exceeds a whole day. So, even though school is cool, it is also cruel, yet it is all worth it.
